As 2025 comes to a close, Oregon’s cooperative housing movement has real momentum behind it! From statewide policy breakthroughs to new resident-owned housing projects breaking ground, this year marked a turning point for cooperatives as a serious, scalable solution to Oregon’s housing crisis. Across the state, organizers, residents, policymakers, and partners are aligning around shared goals: permanent affordability, resident control, and community wealth-building.
